They Win Broadcast Approval

"A program of local origin enacted by local players that has won innumerable plaudits from radio listeners in almost every important center east of the Mississippi is that of the Carolina Minstrels, broadcast every Friday night at 8 o'clock from station WBT, Charlotte. The cast consists of Clair Shadwell, interlocutor; A. C. Lochman, Hugh O. Corzine and J. Dan McConnell, endmen; Janis Heidacher, Joe Ellis, Archie Thornhill, Margaret Harris and Clemmie Reid, soloists; Pete Laudeman, Nick Laney, Rudy Germino and Thorpe Westerfield as the Four Rhythm Makers; LeGrande Everett, George Pickett, Ralph Eury and Clair Shadwell, as quartette, and the Misses Francis Paxton, Sarah Schwartz and Virginia Paxton, tap-dancers, all Charlotte residents. The production is directed by Dwight Mathis, staff dramatic director."
