WBT ADDS TO OFFICE SPACE

Local Radio Station Enlarges Quarters to Provide Sales Force.

Radio Station WBT has signed a new lease on its quarters in the Wilder building and will add an office to the space it now occupies, Earle J. Gluck, manager of the station, said yesterday.

The new office will be on the sixth floor and will take care of the sales department, Mr. Gluck said. He pointed out that this additional office, which is of the standard size, is necessary because of the growing amount of work done by the sales force.

With the additional space, the station will have every office on the sixth floor of the building except three. The station has been located in the Wilder building since 1929 and in that period has grown from a 5,000 watt station to its present 25,000 watt power. Equipment installed some time ago will enable the station to operate with 50,000 watt power as soon as this permission can be obtained from the federal radio commission.

The lease was signed for the year of 1933. M. B. Rose handles the Wilder building, and closed the deal.
