"VOICE OF THE SOUTHEAST"

Beginning at 7 a.m., EST, Friday, August 12, Station WBT at Charlotte, N. C., will start regular operation of their 25,000 watts granted by the Federal Radio Commission. A most interesting program has been arranged and listeners throughout the country will have the opportunity of hearing some of the South's best talent over this station on their all night celebration program.

It is interesting to know that the increased power of WBT will make it the most powerful Eastern seaboard station south of Pittsburgh. The 25,000 watts will give the Charlotte station coverage throughout most of the southeastern states.

Much credit to the rapid growth of the station is given to Earle J. Gluck, general manager, who has been associated with WBT since its inception. His colorful career in the broadcasting field has made him one of the foremost figures in radio circles in the South.

Station WBT and its entire staff are to be congratulated for its wonderful progress. Thousands of listeners will tune in to hear the celebration program coming from "The Voice of the Southeast."
