"Philco Phil" Makes Debut Over WBT

A new program that promises to be one of the outstanding features over WBT's channel is the new Philco program, featuring Philco Phil at the organ. The program will be a variety presentation with some outstanding features each week. The organ, with its many effects being handled by the capable Phil, himself. Last Sunday the listeners were delighted with the beauty of a clear, brilliant tenor voice that is featured on these programs. And again, when the organ played La Rosita with special Spanish effects, not to mention the two-guitar effect—well, many are wondering still how it is possible to do so much with an organ. There is a standing invitation each Sunday to you to join Philco Phil and his crowd at 2:45 p.m., EST. Ron Jenkins is the conductor and knows how all of it is done, but he isn't saying anything except that A. K. Sutton, Incorporated, and the Philco dealers are making this unique program possible. Better join 'em. They're glad to have you.
