THE RADIO EXTENSION

With the coming of Friday the pioneer radio station provided for Charlotte by Mr. Coddington is going to enter upon its broadened career, jumping from the minimum of 5,000 to the super-power of 25,000 watts. This advance in radio service is of importance to the community, and has had recognition in the formal dedication of the road on which the plant is located as WBT Highway. In celebration of this event WBT is to stage a special performance. It had been hoped that the Governor of the State could be here, but he found found that impossible. However, he sends a mighty good man to represent him in the person of Major Harrelson, head of the State Department of Conservation and Development. It is going to be a big day for WBT and for Charlotte.
