JPC Former Employee Luncheon
April 18, 2017
On or about noon on Tuesday, April 18, about 200 former employees of Jefferson Pilot Communications and their spouses gathered for their quarterly lunchtime get-together. Usually held at a Golden Corral (and always coordinated by Carolyn Biltcliffe), today's event was at station WCCB-TV and hosted by WBTV alumni Jim Babb and John Hutchinson, now executives at Bahakel communications (WCCB's parent company).
Many were shooting photos with their phones and cameras, which prompted this question. Suppose each of the 200 diners made a"selfie" of himself with each of the other 199 persons, how many photos would have been taken? The answer is 39,800. Of course, this did not happen, although many photos were taken, and Ken Koontz, Don McDaniel, Patty Perkins and Carol Wonsavage shared some of theirs with BT Memories.
These are presented in a new photo gallery gizmo. Just click on any thumbnail to begin. You might find the Table of Contents feature useful. With it you can scroll to find a certain photo or person. And there's a help screen (just press the "H" key). Use the tool bar to reach the next (or previous) photo, or click the Play button to automate the slide show.
